BitDefender Threat Scanner Error

I got a pop up from BitDefender that a problem occured in BitDefender Threat Scanner. I never downloaded BitDefender and can't find it in my programs and when I hit OK or exit on message it won't go away. How do I get rid of this? I'm running on windows 10 and it shows up on all browsers. Even after turning computer on and off it is still there.

You are most likely using a security application that uses licensed Bitdefender technologies.

I would advise contacting the support team for your current security solution.

I was using Total Defense but it expired. Is it associated with BitDefender?

They are not associated with us.

But they did license some of our technologies to embed into their product.
