What is it with the CONSTANT REBOOTS?!?
I had BD IS 2016, which started demanding reboots about two or three weeks ago, basically every day. This was hugely annoying, because I mean it when I say it demanded(!) reboots. So after reading multiple threads in multiple forums across the web with users complaining about it, an uninstall/reinstall seemed to be the only possible solution. (Btw. seems to be a recurring problem since Bitdefender 2010, so: great work, BD!)
So I took the time, uninstalled IS 2016 and then installed IS 2017. Yesterday. Seemed fine.

I'am pretty close to uninstalling BD and never look at it again. Seriously, what is going on there?

Please run a fresh reinstall of the application, by cleaning the machine using the bitdefender removal tool.

I would also advise running the 2016 tool as well as the 2017 one as you may have leftover files.0
