last night i left my pc on to system virus scan but it got stuck at 44% again.why is this happening also i can use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware at the same time right

Its not advisable to have more than one security solution on the same machine, as to avoid slowdowns and conflicts.
Please check if the Scan Process while showing 44%, at what file did it stop or does the number of scanned items increase?
It might just be a compressed file with lots of smaller ones inside that takes longer to scan, after it finishes the percentage will jump.
