BitDefender is blocking basic Windows functions

I cannot seems to be able to activate View Hidden Folders in my Windows Explorer. Upon further research, it seems like it is because changing that requires Windows to change a registry value, which BitDefender is blocking. I don't know how to get around BitDefender, because disabling the Active Threat Control and the On-access Scanning didn't seem to help at all. I need to get to one of my program's AppData/Local/Local folder to get to a file I need by tomorrow. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.


Edit - Also, when trying to use the Support tool to fix this problem, it got stuck at the end at "Current Operation - Getting Registry Keys".

    Try rebooting the machine and trying again.


    Alternatively, try disabling Ramsomware protection if you activated that function.
