VPN does not work with some apps

I'm overall satisfied with Bitdefender VPN Premium, because it is better dan some other VPN tools which I tested. But I have a question: why does Bitdefender VPN Premium not work with some apps on my smartphone? It's a shopping app of a local store and when I open it to add some products, the connection is not established. Is there a workaround for this problem? As soon as I close Bitdefender VPN Premium, the app works fine.

Since you mentioned it's an app for a local store the app may reject purchase attempts from other locations, however can you let us know what the name of the app is? Or provide us with a download link from the Google Playstore?

The name of the app is MyColruyt (a big Flemish store active in whole Belgium) and you kan download it here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.colruyt.mycolruyt. However I succeeded in using the app as I chose a server in the Netherlands to connect Bitdefender VPN to. I hope this information is useful for you.
