MacWorld Review April 2018
I just read the MacWorld review of anti-virus products (April 2018 linked below) where BitDefender for the Mac got 1 Mouse (the lowest of all the Mac anti-virus/anti-malware reviews).
Given past PCWorld and other reviews, I was wondering if anyone knows what accounts for the discrepancy between these reviews and whether this means BitDefender for the Mac provides less protection in "real-world" usage?

Hi /index.php?/profile/213771-tmania1234/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="213771" href="<___base_url___>/index.php?/profile/213771-tmania1234/" style="" rel="">@tmania1234,
We don't allow comparisons with other antivirus solutions on the forum, which is I removed the link.
With regards to that specific review, just one example of something that appeared to be completely misinterpreted by the reviewer, there is a picture of Bitdefender requesting permission to install a kernel extension (which is of course required for our product to work properly) posted as an example of Bitdefender not being able to block malware and Mac OS's built-in protection having to "step in".
If you have any other specific concerns regarding this review, please send us an email at bitsy@bitdefender.com and we will address them.
Thank you!0
