Constant background download & upload

I noticed yesterday that something on my PC was constantly downloading and uploading something.
Upon checking Resource Monitor, I saw that it was all Bitdefender's doing.
What is this? What changed?
I do not want this to continue.
As a person with limited cap and a line that only handles 250 KB/s download and 50 KB/s upload, this is severely annoying.
