Box 2 detecting same device 3 days apart and classifying as new


Box 2 just detected and logged same device it discovered 3 days ago as a new device. All credentials are same. It lists vendor as Humax Co., Ltd

    Hi Custer, BOX detects devices based on MAC addresses. If this device connects to the Internet through 2 interfaces (WiFi and Ethernet cable), you might see it 2 times in the Central app. 

  • Hi Michael and thank you, but this device is a part of Directv and only connects through WiFi. The electric went off for 6 hours yesterday so perhaps that had some influence. I thought with same MAC address it would be in memory.
