Unowned Device - protected outside the box?

What does it mean when there is a protected device "outside the box", a device I do not own.  It shows up occasionally, listed in a column called "outside the box".  Has my box been compromised?

  • I do not own this iPad, why is my box protecting it and where did it come from?  Is this a security breach?
