Can't assign a kid profile to an individual windows logon anymore?

Having massive problem with Parental Control. It seemed to stop working and was unblocking websites that were supposed to be blocked for one specific Windows user. Decided to delete the child profile from Central and remove the device also. Proceeded to do a new setup but while adding the device to the child account in Central, the drop-down box is missing to link the child Central profile to a child specific Windows logon. Was expecting a small box to say "Select Account" and then followed by a list of Windows usernames. Got nothing. Any ideas?

Thanks.

  • I am also having problems assigning a child profile to my child user account in Windows 10 Pro.

One of the support guys remotely logged into my computer and saw the problem. He took log files, and that's the last I heard from him. It's been over a week.

The User Accounts that display in Bitdefender Central, have no relation to the user accounts on my machine. Very annoying since I've been without child screening for a number of weeks... since I bought the program.

I came here looking for a solution. It appears there isn't one yet.

  • Hi Member,

If the support guy who remotely logged your PC was from bitdefender, then it is okay, but never allow any third person to remote monitor your system and change the configuration of bitdefender product.

  • Windows 10 opens a new window, in which it asks whether you want to "Add a child or an adult." Select the "Add a child" option upsers. If your child already has a Microsoft account, then it means he or she has an email address that he/she uses to sign in to Windows 10, Xbox, Office, Outlook.com, OneDrive, or Skype.

  • Great post, a lot of stuff in here i did not know about 😁
