Problem installing BD free

There was an error rendering this rich post.

The free version of BD doesn't appear to install correctly on my W10 machine. Says things like BD Agent not found & non compatible software found when installing even though the old anti virus has been removed. Thanks

Can you confirm which old antivirus were you using ?

Laptop came with Norton which was uninstalled & then Kaspersky.

1) Download removal tool but do not run :

- Norton : http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com/upgrade/RnR/NRnR.exe

- Kaspersky : https://media.kaspersky.com/utilities/ConsumerUtilities/kavremvr.exe

2) Restart pc in safe mode (https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode)

3) Open run command again and run below command one by one :

temp ,delete all the files in the folder

%temp% ,delete all the files in folder

prefetch ,delete all the files in folder

4) Run the both removal tools one by one.

5) Restart pc in general mode (by untick the option that you applied while going into safe mode and click apply)

6) Try installing bitdefender.
