Should I turn off Windows Defender Firewall in services after Bitdefender installation?

Windows Defender firewall is still running in services after installation of Bitdefender. The documentation says that Windows firewall will be disabled during the installation. Does that mean Windows Defender firewall? If yes, then should I stop this service from running? The installation did switch off the other Window Defender services as expected.

It depends on the product of bitdefender you are using. If you are using antivirus plus , windows firewall will be active. If you will use internet security or total security, windows firewall will get disabled automatically.

If after using bis or bts, windows firewall still remains active, instead of manually disabling it, kindly drop an email to bitdefender support at bitsy@bitdefender.com .Maybe it can be some issue with the bitdefender product which is making it unable to disable the windows firewall. This will have to be checked from development team.
