I had the problem that TurboTax updates would fail with a 42001error. If I disabled Bitdefender virus and firewall protection then rebooted, I could install and update TurboTax. I contacted Bitdefender support. Told them the issue. They sent me links to Uninstall then reinstall Bitdefender. This seems to fix the problem.

I have located your ticket and will also post the given instructions here, so we may help other users that might encounter this issue in the future:
1. Uninstall Bitdefender using the following uninstall tool:

2. Install Bitdefender using the latest kit:

In most cases, the first troubleshooting step would be to temporarily disable the security modules one by one, to identify the blocker. Sometimes, a short reinstall / repair can solve such problems.
