How can I fix problem with Internet Access being blocked in Chrome?
Bitdefender Total Security on Windows 10.
I was in Firewall settings and must have changed something unintentionally. When using the Chrome browser I now get an error that the internet access is blocked. If I turn the firewall off, I can get access or if I use a different browser, there is no problem. Is there a quick fix?

The only thing that will happen is that only the temporary files which we also call the junk files will be removed. Additionally, resetting the browser will make your browser go back to the original settings, think it as you are installing the web browser again from scratch, this will remove your saved password on the browser and also remove all the extensions.
You personal data on your PC will not be deleted.

Hi @vacharmer
Try this, close out Chrome, go into your BD firewall panel/settings, and across the top where it says, Application access, Rules, Network Adapters and Settings, click on Settings. Then enable Alert mode, close out of BD and try loading Chrome and see if you get a firewall pop up to allow Chrome access.
You may want to restart your PC, just to make sure all process have been stopped and everything starts from scratch on a reboot.
Also, you can confirm Chrome is allowed in Rules.
Let us know if this helped.

Enabling ALERT mode did not help. I did not see a popup. I did check the rules and the first one for Chrome.exe was off. When I tried to enable it, I received a message that there was already a rule in place and I could not enable the switch, so I deleted the rule and Chrome will now open up without an error.
Thank you for your help and I will be keeping my fingers off BD in the future. It does a fine job without my help.

A few months ago my PC started having problems connecting to to internet to browse. I could see the news feed and scroll through it but as soon as I clicked on a page it would say it was unavailable? The wifi was showing that it was connected and all the other PC's tablets and phones at home were working perfectly. I thought it was probably the wifi adapter causing the problem so I relaced it. The problem was still there. I tried everything I could find on the internet, flushing DNS, changing DNS settings, resetting network settings, switching the firewall on and off etc but nothing worked. I even replaced the router to no avail. Then I uninstalled Bitdefender to renew my subscription. Before installing the new copy I tried my PC and suddenly everything was working well, I was suddenly able to browse the internet as I used to. I installed the new copy of Bitdefender and the problems we back ! I uninstalled it again just leaving the VPN and it is working perfectly again. Please help.
