Why does the Bitdefender VPN kill internet speed by 75 to 80%?

    Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log files you already created in the first step.

    Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

    Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log files will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.

  • Thanks for your reply but with the VPN on the speed is around 100 to 150. Turn the VPN off and it is always over 500. Even using the two closest VPN sites makes no difference.

    Just a quick update on this matter, it seems that the Support Teams received a couple of similar reports as well. Based on the information gathered so far, users have experienced internet speed degradation with the VPN enabled on various servers. The development teams are looking into this and we should expect a resolution soon.

  • Seems this problem is back. Even if I used the VPN server in my own country the internet speed still throttles down to about a 10th of my normal speed.
