Advanced Threat Defense Blocks Many Software. Any Idea What To Do?

Hello everyone,

For 2-3 weeks, some software not run properly. Those softwares was working fine before. When I turn off "Advanced Threat Defense", these are still work without any problems.

Now it's annoying to add those software as exceptions one by one. I'm not sure but I think the problem started after the last update.

Note: Only files with exe. extension are added as exceptions. For this reason, some softwares (for example, software that runs .bin files) will not run even if added as an exception.

    Hi,

    I also think this is a task for the engineers, as I'm not sure how to handle the .bin files in this scenario. If the ATD behaviour has changed drastically on your machine since the last update, we might need to take a closer look at this.

    In addition to these issues "COM Surrogate" is causing high CPU. I uninstalled Bitdefender and the problems are gone. I reinstalled and all problems started again.

    I feel safe with Bitdefender. But I have to uninstall the software until the problem is fixed. I will reinstall the software in a few weeks and try it out.
