Bitdefender Deletes My Downloads From Turbobit Without Warning Or Asking. Any Help?
I am really p..sed off about this software which deletes my downloads without warning or asking. I downloaded the same file from turbobit.net two times and it deleted it every time. I got it at first time. Ok, bd just did it's job" I said. But then at second time I had disabled bitdefender. But it still deleted my file and it takes a very long time to download it. One more thing; it doesn't even include a virus and bd didn't even scan it. What is wrong with you guys who developed this av?

You need to understand that whenever you download something from internet, the real time protection of bitdefender will constantly scan the file in the background and it will not show you the dialog box for the scanning of the download file until you will manually run a custom scan. All antimalware real time protection works in the same way.
There are various methods by which an antimalware detects a file as malicious, in bitdefender case, there is signature based detection, cloud based detection, behaviour blocker (advanced threat defense).
If you really, want to use the file, you will have to add the location of the file in the bitdefender exclusion list so that even after downloading the file, bitdefender real time protection will not scan that particular location of the file.
1) Temporarily disable Bitdefender Protection: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/28557/
2) Set exclusion in Bitdefender Antivirus: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/13427/
3) Set exclusion in Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2393/
4) Re-enable real time protection in Bitdefender.
Also, if you think the file is incorrectly detected by bitdefender, you can share the same with malware researchers by filling the below stated forum. If file is indeed incorrectly detected, the detection will be removed in next 72 hours. If the detection stays even after 72 hours, consider the file as malicious by malware researchers.

Additionally, below is the virustotal link of the file that was downloaded from the link you shared. It seems that it was not the signature based detection that detected the file as malicious but more of a behaviour blocker (advanced threat defense) that kicked in to detect the file as malicious and delete it.

Hello @munlu and welcome to the Community!
I'm sorry to hear this. I have checked and it seems that only one security vendor flagged this domain as malicious on https://www.virustotal.com/gui/domain/turbobit.net
However, this is not necessary relevant to the issue at hand, as we must determine what type of file is being downloaded and what exactly is being detected. To find out, please submit the sample with our malware researchers using the form located at the link below. If this behaviour occurs as a result of a false positive detection, once confirmed, the false alarm will be corrected within hours:
Let us know how it goes.

Hi,
That's interesting. So, you managed to resolve this?

blah blah blah. You have deleted the file link but if you have downloaded it, you would see that the archive file only contains simple flac (audio format) files. As a busy user, I just don't want to be disturbed and don't want my downloaded files get deleted without asking, especially when they don't include any malware. that's all I am asking. I even shouldn't bother to post this issue here. I should just buy a better av next time. Btw, It's not my job to report BD's false positives. I just want the developers of this software to think more responsively. Users can't do those guys' job.

Even if the link is deleted from the post by any moderator or admin, still the link is accessible to moderators and admins to check on it.
So, below is the virustotal link of the file that was downloaded from the link you shared. It seems that it was not the signature based detection that detected the file as malicious but more of a behaviour blocker (advanced threat defense) that kicked in to detect the file as malicious and delete it.
