I have tried this now several times with my child.
It seems that i can get the location as of about 1-2 hours ago. This is not really very useful. Google can provide it right up to date. Am I doing something wrong or is the Locate system broken?

I have noticed that the engineers recommended to unassign the device from Bitdefender Central, uninstall the Bitdefender Parental Control from the device, then remove the profile from Central and try again to configure the profile.
Let us know how it goes and if the location is accurately refreshed and displayed afterwards.
