Bitdefender sees "RBXFPSUnlocker" as a virus
Hello BD,
My son wants to install an FPS unlocker for roblox and apparently BD and several others are seeing the file as a virus. BD went as far as to say it has "Trojan.GenericKD.65861700".

Several posts online are stating this is a false positive and I'm not sure how to fully verify. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Rob

Hello.

The detection is correct. While the sample is not a malware but it comes under the category of pup/pua
More information on pup/pua: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/26046/
The detection created by bitdefender is correct but they have marked the sample under wrong category. Instead of marking it as trojan, they should have marked it under the category of pup/pua
Will try to get in touch with the malware researchers and try to get the detection rectified properly.
If you want to continue using the file, you can simply set it to exclusion
Set exclusion in Bitdefender Antivirus: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/13427/
Set exclusion in Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2393/
Below is the current virustotal link for the sample file
