Stop bitdefender blocking unsecure connection
Hi,
I'm currently travelling and think that BD is auto blocking internet access because the network password does not meet the security requirements.
I can connect to the same network with multiple phones / tablets. I can connect to other networks with the affected windows device. It did very briefly work, but seems to have stopped again.
I've tried adding the network to Home category under Vulnerability section - no fix.
I've tried enabling unsecure connection in the BD VPN app - no fix.
I can't see an obvious alert for the network.
I can't see an obvious way to allow access in firewall.
(I don't use BD VPN, and frankly, it just acts like bloatware).
Can anyone help?

Run cmd as administrator and type the below stated command one by one and hit enter after each command
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
netsh int ip reset all
netsh winhttp reset proxy
netsh advfirewall reset
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh int tcp show global

If issue is resolved by disabling all the bitdefender services, proceed with below things.
Generate bitdefender BDsysLog: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1922/
Generate bitdefender support tool logs: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1733/
Generate bitdefender connectivity logs: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/9689/
Share the logs & your query with bitdefender support team by dropping them an email at bitsy@bitdefender.com
If the generated logs are larger in size, you can upload the logs to google drive or we.tl (7days link validity for free users) or ask the support team to provide you with the online link & password of bitdefender cloud where you can upload the logs and share the upload link with the support team.
The support team will reply back to your query within next 24-48 hours excluding weekends.
