Firewall Rules Block traffic from the internet

I am new to these protections, and am still learning.

Is it possible to create a rule that blocks traffic from the internet and I guess the log alert would show notifications?

And could someone provide an example of what a rule would be for custom local address and custom remote address...is this section for blocking websites and ports?
