Bitdefender Safepay Window closing
In the last week or two Bitdefender Safepay (Windows 11) has started misbehaving.
I open Safepay and access one of my saved sites. It opens, and then after a time (around 1 minute) the window closes. When I click on the icon on the taksbar it reopens, but then repeats.
I have tried reinstalling Bitdefender, but the problem persists

Hello.
I think that the best option for you is to contact Bitdefender Consumer Support, as the support engineers could take a deeper look at the issue, so do the steps below.
First, take screenshot(s) of the issue
and create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:
Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:
with short description of the issue.
After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.
Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log file you already created in the first step.
Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.
Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log file will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.
NOTE: If the log file is larger than 25MB, you can upload the log file here:
After the upload is done, you will get a notification with the file's URL and then you can share the file's URL with the Bitdefender Consumer Support.
Regards.

I am having exactly the same problem, and have reloaded Bitdefender also (which stopped the problem for a few weeks - but now it is back). It's very annoying.
They should be able to advise a cure without me having to go through all the steps described. It's not acceptable performance of the product I pay for. If it's still doing the same thing when the subscription expires, I will solve it by changing to another vendor.

Hello @Keith S,
What Bitdefender version do you have? Is it the latest one? Bitdefender’s most recent version number is 27.0.38.163 and was released on May 27, 2024. The changelog also includes some Safepay enhancements.
If you are not running this version yet, here's the Manual update guide:
Now, there can be multiple causes behind this behavior, if the Safepay window closes by itself without warning, this could be a glitch and you can run the repair tool and see if this solves the issue. I've inserted the procedure below:
Also, other applications or browser extensions running on your system might interfere with Bitdefender Safepay, leading to its abrupt closure. This is particularly common with other security software or browser extensions, so this could also be worth checking. Have you installed anything lately, or made any changes to your system?
Last but not least, if your PC is running low on system resources (CPU, memory), it might force close applications, including Bitdefender Safepay, to free up resources..
Let us know if the root cause could be found and if the above steps were helpful.

I am having exactly the same problem on my new computer.
I have not had this problem.
I am too busy to solve this issue.
Life is too short.
I'll work without SafePay to avoid the annoyance.

Hi @Scott C,
I would still advise to follow the steps described in my previous comment. Also, can you tell us if you have the latest Bitdefender version installed? I'm referring to this one that has been recently released:
I know we live busy lives, but sometimes we may be required to roll up our sleeves and deal with what's coming our way. 🙂

My Bitdefender build was 27.0.40.169.
I uninstalled and reinstalled. Build was still 27.0.40.169.I have updated the software as you advised.
Version is still 27.0.40.169 not 173.
Safepay still minimises randomly.
I have wasted more time.
My kind advice is not to advise busy paying customers to " to roll up our sleeves and deal with what's coming our way" .. from Bitdefender I presume.
Regardss
