Can't get Sage 50 software to run after installing Bitdefender
I assume its a firewall issue, but not sure how to make a rule for the sage 50 software

I take it you're using the home version of Bitdefender? If that is the case, try enabling Alet mode in the Firewall Settings, restart your PC, and see if you get a prompt to allow the software when you run it.
Otherwise, firewall rules can be created manually.
You can also try adding the .exe to ATD Exceptions.
