Yes, you can. Both serve the same purpose of blocking malicious and phishing websites. One is built into the Bitdefender product, and the other one is a web browser extension.

Web protection does not auto start. This used to work on my premium android 11 tablet until the last BD update.

The issue related to Web Protection has been fixed in latest BMS version 3.3.241.2437
