Mac Monterey hangs

I have a strange problem. Sometimes, and I haven't been able to find when, my Mac hangs. I can move the mouse but I cannot click on the window to change the frontmost application. After a while, the login window appears and I have to login again. This can take 45 seconds to 1 minute.

Any hint? My BitDefender Antivirus for Mac is active.

    If you choose email support, you will receive a ticket number in your registered email. Kindly generate and attach the following logs to the ticket for macOS:

    Bitdefender BDsysLog for macOS: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/11198/

    Bitdefender BDProfiler log for macOS: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1863/

    If the generated logs are larger than 25 MB, which is the attachment limit for most email vendors, you can upload the logs to https://upload.bitdefender.net/ and share the link with the support team.

    I think there is something very specific that's causing this behavior and you should follow Flexx's advice and contact the Support teams for a more in-depth investigation of the device. It's hard to tell exactly what could be the culprit, based solely on the information above. There can be multiple possible causes, from hardware problems, failing hard drives, insufficient RAM, or overheating components, to background processes, such as iCloud sync, Time Machine backups, especially if these encounter errors or require significant resources. I don't exclude the antivirus here, in the event it's performing a system scan or running any background tasks, so this needs to be checked as well.

    Let us know once you've found the root cause, if possibile.
