Not Update Time Lasted Scanned!

  • Hello :)

Could you please tell me what localization do you have installed?

The update was released only for US, GB, RO, ES, DE, FR markets. It will be released soon for other languages.

    Thank you.

  • I'm waiting for the Dutch version of the update.

Can you tell me when it will be available?

    Thanks.

  • I have the same problem. There was an update earlier today and I rebooted the computer. The About window shows I am now at version 15.0.36.1530

I then did a quick scan and the last scan is showing 2 days ago, after the scan. I did a custom scan as well and it is still showing 2 days ago as last scan.

Also I notice alerts that my Antivirus Autoscan settings changed in the Events section of the program. Turning on and off. I am not sure if this is due to reboot or it just randomly turned itself on and off because the time differences between the OFF and then ON again event is wide apart.

I have the new version and as MyBit says , it is not updating when a scan has taken place. Also I am getting the random turn off of the autoscan settings which do not co-incide with updates. I am in GB

Last scanned not updating here after either a full or a quick scan on 1530, so much for the fix.

    I am in the U.S.

I did notice that if there is a virus or false positive found that the time of last scan does update but not in any other circumstances.

Also on Anti Virus Full Scan the custom settings are ignored. I set custom settings to deny viruses found as there are some fasle positives on my system and instead of doing that BitDefender deleted the files. One of which I have no way of getting back from anywhere, this is a serious bug in my eyes.

Also as stated my Auto Scan for Antivirus shows in the log as being deactivated and then reactivated sometimes hours later.

When I start a scan and then Pause or Stop it, there is still scanning going on but BD does not show or inform about this anywhere. The reason I know is because the hard drive is constantly running and in some cases a slow down of the computer. There is NO WAY to shut this down without either waiting for it to complete, which can be HOURS or rebooting the system.

This is with the last UPDATE for the U.S.

EDIT: Also the SAFEBOX I have turned off but in the Events Log for this it keeps telling me it is disabled. Which is true but all I can see is the alerts in the log are just filling up the log with these disabled alerts sometimes checked minutes a part. I don't see why a continual alert needs to be added to the events log, just one would be enough and then another one when it is activated. Not sure this is a bug but could be something to look at to improve to maybe reduce resource usage. Just one entry instead of a hundred or more sometimes minutes a part.

I deleted all the events in all the logs to clear them up.

    Thanks.

  • Just completed another full scan , no threats found & it updated the last scanned correctly, no idea why it didn't do it the other day, anyway just glad I've got it working :)

    Hello :)

You have some .upd files in your installation folder. This means that some files could not be replaced during the update process.

Please follow the steps from here to reinstall Bitdefender 2012 on that machine:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...f=241&id=44

The ES kit for Bitdefender 2012 can be downloaded from here:

I just finished the re-install and everything looks like it's back to normal. Thanks a lot! <img class=" />

  • Hello :)

    You are welcome.

Let me know if you have other questions.

    Take care.

  • Well...the updates seemed to have corrected the "last update" issue (which was not working) in my XP machines...but my Win 7 Pro 64bit machine still will not update ? The below jpg shows 8d days...but I have scanned twice in those 8 days and nothing changes ?

Also...last attempt today gave me the error in the jpg ?

Now how do I proceed ?

    Thanks...TiminAZ

<img class=" /> I'm trying to not loose my patience with this issue, but it is not being corrected. I did the uninstall and reinstalled as you directed., on 02/22/12. At that time, the Last Scan days went to 0. I expected to see that updated again on at least 02/29. Today, 03/03/12, the main screen has Last Scan 9 Days Ago, but the Antivirus screen detail shows a scan on 02/29, and lists 36 quaratined items. Screen shots of both are attached, as well as About. What is my next step??

    Hello :)

I see from that screenshot that Bitdefender is deleting some files. In this case I will need some scan logs from you.

Go to this location and send me this file:

    C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\Desktop\Events\history.xml

Also, please run a Full System Scan task with Bitdefender and send us the resulting scan report.

[how to GENERATE A FULL SYSTEM SCAN LOG]

    - Before running the scan please make sure that you have the latest virus definitions downloaded via the Update module.

    For this you need to open Bitdefender and from the main interface click on Update now;

    - After the update process has completed successfully you can proceed to

    running the scan task.

In the same window go to Antivirus and press the Scan now button =>Full system scan.

    - After the scan has finished you need to submit the scan log file.

This is accomplished by running the Support tool file that can be

    downloaded from this location:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...or_scanlogs.exe

Save the file prior to running it and to continue you need to accept the terms of use.

At the end of this process an archive will be created on your Desktop starting with bdamst.

. Send me these files via PM.

    Thank you.

I tried to do what you asked, but I got this error message when I tried to UPLOAD BDAMST.zip via PM: Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload this type of file

In addition, I do not have "C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\Desktop\Events\history.xml" on my system. I have Program Files (x86) Folder ((Which does NOT have a Bitdefender Folder)), and Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2012 but not the Desktop\Events,etc. I'm attaching shots of my C: drive.

    <_<

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello :)

    Welcome back.

You need to set Windows 7 to show all hidden files and folder to see ProgramData.

    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/394-h...-show-hide.html

Also, if the file are too big to attach them, upload them on

    http://www.sendspace.com

    or

    http://www.mediafire.com

and send me a PM with the download link.

We will analyze the information you sent and then reply with a possible solution in the shortest time.

    Have a nice day.

  • Hi Christian,

I note the previous posts, but I installed (for the first time) BDIS 2012 on the 16 March '12 and my build version is showing 15.0.37.1568 yet my "Last Scan" is currently showing 7 days?

I was under the impression that build .36 resolved this problem??

My PC is running Windows 7 [x64] Home Premium (SP1).

    Thanks.

I have monitored this thread for a couple months, submitted about 6 scans, dumps, etc and have not seen a reply or a solution. I am on build version 15.0.37.1568. The product still does not work. Currently the BD desktop says the last scan was 7 days ago, and the events log shows a scan yesterday, 3/22. My advice to you is to dump Bitdefender ASAP.

    Hello :)

    Thank you for your feedback.

In the current situation, I will ask you to reinstall the product by following the steps from here:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...f=241&id=44

Also, a product update was released. Your build should be 15.0.38.1604(please right click on Bitdefender icon from system tray-near the clock-and choose "About". You should see in the left side the build number).

In order for the product update to be installed, you need to reboot your machine(you should see in the Events -> "Reboot required" under the Update module).

    Changelog:

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=28172

    http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...st&p=139660

Let me know if the situation is solved.

    Have a great weekend!
