Active Antivirus Control Won't Turn On

Hello,

Today I updated Windows Vista to Windows 7 without formatting HD.

Reinstalling BitDefender was required.

After reinstalling and completing all the updates, I went to check and adjust all the settings.

I now notice that my active anti-virus control is off and can't seem to be switched back on.

Every time I click on the "switch"-button, it flickers "on" for a fraction of a second but then turns back "off".

I have no idea what could be reason. Can anybody give me some advice?

I tried turning auto-pilot off, but no improvement.

Most of my settings are "aggressive".

Thank you

It also happened to me but a REBOOT solved this issue.
