On-access Scanning

Hi. Today I have changed from BitDef 2011 Antivirus to Bit Def Antivirus Plus 2012.


Installation went OK.


My problem 1: On access scanning is disabled. If i click "START", the fix function does not function. All three status alerts are "ON".


My problem 2: Active virus control is "OFF" and I can´t change it to "ON".


Any ideas?

    I'm having the same problem with the addition of the firewall not staying on. I sent in my log files, screen shots, and a detailed description of the problem. The fixes suggested didn't fix the problem and it was suggested that if they didn't, I should wait about a week and try again.


    Is this issue occuring with many other users? Is the tech team working to resolve it?

    In order to be able to properly identify the causes for the reported situation and find a solution we will need to investigate a bit deeper.


    Please follow the steps below and send us the result:


    a ) Go to this page


    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx and download the autoruns file.


    b ) Extract the contents of the downloaded file and run the 'autoruns.exe' file;


    c ) Wait for the list to be filled with all the processes and then make sure that you have the Everything tab selected in the upper part;


    d ) Click on the Disk icon right under File and chose any location folder on your computer;


    e ) Save the file with a specific name (your name, computer name, a random name, which one you want) and then send me a PM with it.

  • I'm having the same issues. I have Bidefender Windows 8 security. Ever since I updated to windows 8.1 My on-access scan has been reported as disabled even though it is on, but I cant change my settings. My active virus scan is off and I cant turn it back on. When I click on, it immediately switches back to off. When I click autopilot it immediately switches back to user mode.

    Unfortunately, you happened to post your issue in a 2 year old forum which is no longer receiving forum Tech Support. Please search for or re-submit your topic in the Bitdefender Windows 8 Security forum, where you will you have a better chance for support.


    Which in that case, you may be prompted to run a Repair.
