Using Bitdefender Total Security for just antivirus

Hi. I recently purchased Bitdefender Total Security. However, because I have an old computer I am finding that Total Security slows my PC down .. is it possible to use Total Security just as an antivirus security, rather than Total Security? Would using it just for antivirus be less strain on my PC?

    Hi,


    May I verify, is there any other AV installed on that machine? It might cause a conflict which may slows down your machine.


    And also please make sure that there are any left overs on the machine before installing the product.


    Furthermore, you can add exclusions & modify settings under BD that suit your security preference.
