Can't access my NAS when Bitdefender Internet Security 2018 activated


I have just purchased and installed Bitdefender Internet Security 2018 on my first device running Windows 10.  I have a NAS attached to my PC.  I can no longer access my NAS - in Windows Explorer it shows up but with a red X on it.  I can't find a way to enable access to the NAS drive. Yet from another PC device that does not yet have Bitdefender installed but connected to the NAS via our home network, I can access the NAS.


What Bitdefender settings do I need to change so I can access my NAS on the device with Bitdefender installed?

    First you should check what module is blocking the connection. The most like module would be the Firewall (Open Bitdefender > View Features > turn off the Firewall). If the issue is caused by the Firewall, then follow the steps in this article:
