PIN to access anti-theft options
Hello everyone,
So far I'm very happy with bitdefender products, but I discovered recently that we can wipe a device remotely and I feel insecure with this single point of failure. Just accessing the account online is enough, no additional security check (like a PIN) for an irreversible process on several devices.
Even if my account is 2FA, there is always bad scenario like if someone steal my trust device, wipe my other devices, locking me out of my account and keep control of the trust device (and if it's a phone with a 2FA app, it can be very destructive). I know the user need to be careful, but I think one more check is not luxury for multiple wipe. Like the password for local settings, this can be optional.

Hello @Lorenzo23 and thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.
I'm happy to hear you are satisfied with your Bitdefender products. 😊
Such additional security measures for the wipe feature have been suggested before and you can check the threads below for more information:
The development teams have not yet pronounced themselves if this is something they would consider in the near future, but nevertheless, they will get your message automatically and review this idea, and if even more users are showing interest along the way, we'll see where this goes. 😎👍️

Hello
Thank you for your explanation and for the links, indeed people ask for something similar in the past. I hope this can maybe give idea to the development teams.
For now, I think the best thing I can do is check my account security and prevent 2FA application steal (maybe using the Bitdefender mobile app which can password lock other apps). If you have any tips to strenghten my accounts security don't hesitate to tell me !
In any case, thank you for your answer
