Reviving this old thread since I've noticed it's quite viewed.

Unified Wintun is the name of the VPN adapter and it's perfectly normal to be displayed with VPN connection.

Wintun impacts the communication between my printer and computer. When I turn it off then the communication is stopped. Hp recommends turning off the VPN but this will not work.

@spider73 are you sure it's wintun and not the firewall that's preventing access to the printer? Have you tried to disable the firewall to check if you are able to access it afterwards?

I uninstalled wintun and everything works as it should. VPN works fine without it and the printer now works wirelessly.
