Bit Defender Total Security blocking site links.
I am finding that Bitdefender system updates are blocking links on sites without asking me. I get the feeling that perhaps its going the same way as HAL in 2001 a Space Odessey.
I like the idea of being safe, but will not tolerate a machine taking over my life.
Am I alone in this problem, is it time to look elsewhere for a security system?

I also use Bitdefender, and I thought that I was probably accessing it by referring to the SSL inspection information of the site I was accessing, but I have not updated the browser on my computer or used the Bitdefender anti-virus browser add-on.
If you allow it with the tracker function, you will be able to browse the site, so please try it.

So where do I find the tracker function?

Bitdefender software's privacy items, anti-tracker enablement part,
Slide each browser function to enable in the Bitdefeder anti-tracker item, enable it in the add-on item on each browser, and when you browse the site from there, you can see the Bitdefender anti-tracker in the top right corner.
If you select "Register the current site to the list" in the item (gear mark), you will be able to view the registered site from the next time using the whitelist process.
Please check the add-on items for each browser (Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge).

I keep getting this when I go into the Virginia Lottery, it started after the last set of updates. I am about to take this Bitdefender off my system and go with something else. I have tried the ideas above as well with no luck.
The request is blocked.

Hello @thai_chef,
Have you tried adding the website as an exception?
If whitelisting the website does't allow access, check for ad-blockers and anti-trackers that could prevent the page from loading correctly. Some browser extensions or settings, such as ad-blockers, anti-tracking features, or privacy-focused extensions, could be blocking the request in this case. Try the following:
- Disabling extensions or switching to another browser (try incognito as well)
- Clearing your browser cache and cookies.
Then have a look at the firewall (if your Bitdefender product has it). Disable the firewall temporarily and then try to access the website again. Furthermore, if you're using a VPN or proxy, disable them and try accessing the website afterwards. I don't exclude the possiblity that your network administrator or ISP is blocking the website for some reason. You could try to use a different network (such as mobile data or another Wi-Fi connection) to see if the problem persists. Last but not least, the website itself might be down or experiencing issues with specific regions or devices.
I can access that website with no issues whatsoever and I do have Bitdefender installed.
I hope this helps.
