"security Report" Produces No Report.
The blue dot in the top menu indicates there is something to report. If I open the menu, it has a dot next to security report. If I click on it, it opens a dialog box with an apology, but no report ... ever. It worked before, but it broke in the update. Thanks, Leighton

Struggle to get BDIS to be in control, not Windows Defender/Firewall.
I know that a user should have only one firewall and one antivirus active at one time. The problem is that when you install a new version of Windows, both firewalls and both antivirus products are vying for control of the system. I’m on the “Windows Insider Slow Ring”, so there are frequent updates to the OS. Every time it…

BDIS 2017 vsserv.exe has stopped running
Has BDIS 2017 been tested against the pre-release versions of Windows 10? After I upgraded to Windows Build 14986.rs_prerelease.16102-1928, I can't get vsserv.exe to stay running. If I go to "Services" and force a restart of the service, it starts and runs a few seconds then stops. It seems to have started this behavior…

BDIS 2017 vsserv.exe spikes every 5 seconds
This has been a continuing theme for years over different products. It never seems to get resolved. BDIS 2017 has vsserv.exe running 10% spikes of the CPU with 6MB of I/O every 5 seconds, continuously. What are you up to? Do I have to regress to BDIS 2016 to stop this thing from haunting me?

Wildcard usage in Manage Spammers for Domains
I have received a large number of messages addressed from contact@xyz.com or contact@xyz.net where xyz is any one of many domain names. Is there a way to block them all with a wildcard definition such as: contact@*.com or contact@*.net

Firewall Conflict With Windows 10
With the impending overwhelming adoption of Windows 10, we are going to have to re-address this issue. This first came up when Windows 8 & 8.1 started this “Store Apps” problem. You ignored and side-stepped the problem at that time, and will probably do the same thing again. “Windows could not start the Windows Firewall on…

Bdis 2015?
Is there an installer exclusively for BDIS 2015 or does the installer for BDTS 2015 realize that I have a license for BDIS and act accordingly? I tried to do a search but the search hung my browser several times, so I gave up and started this thread. Once installed, will "mybitdefender" account manager realize that I have…

Inconsistent Results
I do a "Full System Scan" three times a week (M-W-F) and the count of scanned items can vary from 287K to 2.1 million items. Why is there such variability? doesn't a "Full Scan" scan all there is to scan, every time? Thanks, Leighton

[escalated] Windows Repair/restore
Christian, In its zeal to prevent an attack, BitDefender has successfully blocked doing a "System Restore" (rstrui.exe) to restore the system to a previously-set restore point. It also prevents a "Windows Repair" (In-place install). I've managed to find a work-around for the "System Restore" without having to uninstall…

"excluded Processes" Settings Don't Stick After Reboot
I have found that items added to the "Excluded processes" list don't stay in the list. After a reboot, the list is empty. Items added to "Excluded file & folders" preserves the additions after reboot. Thanks, Leighton

Tweaking.com Repair_windows.exe
Christian, I have another odd one for you. Repair_windows.exe from tweaking.com has been blocked by "Active Virus Control". a "Full System Scan" and "On Demand" contextual scans find nothing. Could you have development check into it? By design, the program does some back-door type of things, but that is to be expected.…

Many Problems With Bdis 2012
I installed BDIS 2012 and have tried re-installs 5 times. I can't get the firewall to remain active. According to the BDIS "Home" page, it says everything is turned on and active. When I go to the settings it says the "Firewall" is turned off. If I turn it on, when I reboot, it has turned itself "Off". If I check the…

Windows Search Index Blocked
BDAV 2011 blocks the search indexing. Because I was was having problems with searching in Windows Explorer, I forced Windows 7 to rebuild the search index. It sat there with '0 items indexed' until I uninstalled BDAV 2011. I had previously disabled 'Active Virus Control' to no avail. Uninstalling was the only way I could…

Invalid License Warning At Startup (again)
It is the 18th of September and I'm still getting the annoying Invalid License message at startup. BDAV 2011 status says I still have 262 days left on the license. When will this be resolved?

An Error Occurred During The Update (could Not Parse)
Since this appears to be a different topic than that listed in the other thread, I've opened a new one. The other thread seems to be related to "no connection", mine is "Could not parse". In any case, there is no automatic update. I've followed the hints in the other thread, and tried them all, to no avail. I've…

Antiphishing Greyed Out
The menu bar is greyed out and settings gives me "Bitdefender service is unavailable". Consider this a "me too" for Webbit's problem. I tried the fix you gave him and it was already enabled. See attachment of my settings screen. Every time I reboot, I see that under antivirus screen that Antiphishing is disabled. I turn it…
