What Are The Differences Between Bd 2009 And 2010?
I have BD Internet Security 2009 on Windows SP2

Free Scan Available At Bd Web Site
I run BD 2009 scan every day and always get 195 errors about RRBackup (Lenovo Recue and Recovery) plus one error about BD's own file (password protected). The new free scan, apparently part of BD 2010 ran very slowly (8 hours, as compared to about 6 hours with that BD 2009 deep scan) and showed noerrors at all, which, I…

Vsserv.exe Massive I/o Writes
I noticed that Bit Defender (vsserv.exe) is doing an enormous amount of writing. Task manager shows 620GB "I/O write bytes" at the moment, far more than anything else. I can understand it doing a lot of reading, since I do daily scans, but I don't understand the writes. I see about twice as many bytes read as written and 5…

Bt Suddenly Blocking Existing Programs - Google Destop, Bluetooth Etc.
Starting yesterday, after any reboot of my system, I see pop-ups from BD saying that certain programs have been blocked: Google Desktop; Bluetooth; and today, Roboform. The popups stay for a few seconds and then vanish - too quickly for me to write down details of where the blocked module is. Why have these suddenly been…

Antiphishing With Internet Explorer
On Firefox, I see the BitDefender "AntiPhishing" mark, and can see the pullowns next to it (Disable, Settings etc.) . But I don't see it on my Internet Explorer (V7) window. Does that mean that BitDefender is not doing this on IE (it is checked on my BD settings) or that it is hidden away somewhere?

Windows Autorun Update Kb967715
Every time I reboot I I get the Windows shield telling me to install this update. I do install it and receive the "Installation Complete" Message and the yellow windows shield goes away. Signcheck
I use Quicken and have set a password for it that has to be entered when I start it. Recently I noticed that it has been very slow and I saw that a program called "signcheck.exe" is running when I start Quicken. The program is in the BitDefender 2009 folder. Is this correct? Why is it so slow when I enter the password?

Support For Windows Sp3
I read today that Microsoft is ending support for SP2 in April 2009. So it looks like I will have to install SP3, which I have avoided doing until now. Does BitDefender support SP3? Anything I should look for when I install SP3?

Overcompressed Items Not Scanned
I am getting many files that are not scanned because Bit Defender says they are "overcompressed". These are almost always winzip compressed output. Should I go thru and uncompress them all or will BitDefender be able (soon) to look into winzip compressed files?
