VPN disconnects when computer sleeps, while browser open

Using an iMac, running Ventura operating system. Is VPN disconnecting an expected behavior? VPN does restart when I wake computer but it takes a minute. Is this a security issue, because browser is open and VPN is not connected? I have kill switch active.

It’s normal for VPNs to reconnect after your computer wakes up, and the kill switch should protect you during this time. If the kill switch is delayed, it could be a security issue. To troubleshoot, try restarting your iMac, reinstalling Bitdefender VPN, and checking for updates. If the problem doesn’t resolve, reaching out to Bitdefender support is recommended.
