Hi,

I know this is random but I'm desperate to find a solution to the following:

My wifes facebook and instagram has been hacked (as well as other financial and personal accounts). She has managed to get back hold of most of them apart from facebook and Instagram.

They are using the accounts to ask people to make investments through a bank account, and have added photos ofthe account, the luxury items they now own, with a picture of my family and kids, saying how easy to obtain this lifestyle. They have posted each day for the past couple of days.

They have managed to change her account email and phone number to a new number and email (which looks very similar to the original email) so resetting the password to email or using phone security does not work, as both go to the email or phone number they have newly added. For example, the email address used to be [*email removed by @Flexx*] but they changed it to [*email removed by @Flexx*]

This is a huge issue with facebook as the two email addresses they ask you to follow and add information too facebook.com/hacked and facebook.com/identity once adding all the information say “The email address you entered isn't connected to an account.” “No search results - Your search did not return any results. Please try again with other information.” And this becomes a constant loop with facebook.

Facebook have been so difficult to contact, or get any support, apart from the standard or flawed guidance above. The account is still live despite being reported numerous times by so many people

Can anyone help with information, guidance or contact details or more?

Thanks. These steps have already been taken. Facebook ask you for the email address which was originally utlilised, which is then provided, but as soon as you enter it, it says, "No search results
. Your search did not return any results. Please try again with other information." The other information is then used (a mob number), but again it says this. The hacker has changed both the email address and the phone number for the account. Shes been going around in circles and theres no way to contact facebook directly.

You have posted your query on the Bitdefender forum. There seems to be no other solution than contacting Facebook support directly.
