The problems never cease
I'm so weary of BD. On many counts - too weary to try to list the endless frustrations. I'll just mention the very latest. "Vulnerability scan completed - 2 vulnerability issues found. 2 critical Windows updates. Risk HIGH" (in red caps!)
So… I select "install updates" The only thing that happens is that I see the "stop" button. No progress, no splash screen, no alerts. No action in TaskManager. Sweet FA. The "stop" button works - or at least returns me to the not-happening "install updates" option. And so on ad infinitum. Checking Windows update I see NO MENTION of these phantom "updates".
EDIT. I forgot. On one PC there was an intercepted malware occurrence today. However despite being logged into BD it can't be deleted without inserting another ****in PW!!!! Now assure me that this is all intentional and best practice.
As for the ****ing PW Mis-Manager…. Whether or not it remembers its own PW is pure chance (not the "2 days" or something that I have been told). Having to continually stuff USB sticks in to recover a cryptic PW would be funny if it wasn't so infuriating. AND… when I import a PW .csv file I get a long line of ingnored conflicts - but no indication if any of the new stuff has been imported until I check the content of the app itself. The report needs to list the items ACTUALLY imported as well as the bl00dy conflicts.Took me a while to realise what was happening, that. And, of course you cannot globally delete the entire content before importing a reference file.
What is the ****ing "Wallet" that I've seen referred to regularly? Never seen any reference to it within the application windows. Complete mystery.
Maybe I'm just too old and/or too stupid because I bought BitDefender out of sheer optimism. It's no better than any other security suite I've ever tried. In some ways it's worse.

Hi @Pogossian
This can be a on and off again issue with Bitdefender regarding Windows updates, including their not being installed from the scan window.
On my two PC's, Windows 10 and 11, it's up to date. I only consider the BD Vulnerability scan for Windows updates as informational, and always install them from within Windows itself (when there are actual updates). Try doing a PC restart, or wait a couple of days and see if BD resyncs correctly with Windows Update.
As far as Wallet, that was Bitdefender's previous onboard password manager which was included with the purchase of the Bitdefender line up of paid Antivirus products. Its EOL was in Dec of 2023, so it's probably time to disable this announcement? @Alexandru_BD may follow-up regarding why it's still notifying us in that Privacy window.
If you wanted to run a Repair to see if that resolves the Vulnerability scan and Windows issue, that's up to you, it may help.
Kind regards

Hello @Pogossian,
Bitdefender registers in the security center as an AV provider and Microsoft automatically deactivates Windows Defender, thus it is not necessary to update Windows Defender here.
The Vulnerability scan is done by category, so the notification appears there because these updates are taken as being in the category of critical updates for Windows. As such, you can simply disregard that message, at least until they find a better way to deal with this.
As for the Password Manager, it's hard to tell what's going on there without a more thorough investigation. My advice would be to contact Bitdefender Support for further assistance.
I understand your frustration in this case, but I must kindly ask you to pay attention to the language used on these forums. Fortunately, we have an automatic system through which trivial language is filtered and censored, but this does not mean that we will tolerate the aggressive way in which the above message was written.
If you came here to ask for help, you are more than welcome. If you registered just to vent off on these pages, it's not the right place for this attitude and shows a lack of respect for other members of this community.Thank you.
