Not particularly pleased with SafePay
I like the idea of SafePay, however, I don't like that I cannot access other files while in safepay. My biggest example is for logging into specific sites that I like the added security of safepay. If I'm in a site like that, I do not want my password stored in password manager, since that makes it one more step of potential hacking into that password. I also don't want to have a printed password somewhere that someone could discover and log into my account. I also don't want it on another device, where I have to go back and forth between devices to retrieve and enter the username and password. The only real alternative left is to store the password on a removable drive, and open it when I need it. Unfortunately, safepay prevents me from being able to do that. I feel that BitDefender needs to find a secure way of accessing other files while in safepay.

Hello.
This is something that shoul be addressed to @camarie, who works as Principal Software Developer at Bitdefender and @Alexandru_BD, who also works for Bitdefender.
Please, wait for their reply.
Regards.

@TimBDfeedback If I understand well, you would like to open a file from a specific location (USB drive) in order to read informations such as credentials needed to log in. I can incorporate such a feature (say a simple viewer for text files) embedded in Safepay. What I would be reluctant of would be to allow an external program to run in Safepay secure desktop: one obvious reason would be the possibility of compromise (not to mention unpredictability of a process that might interfere with the Safepay shutdown, keeping windows opened there for which there is no real control), and the second being we have quite a number of experiences of simply software behaving badly when running in a non-default desktop.
Can you please elaborate a little about your use case? Thank you for your feedback.
(Note: I am the main developer for Safepay, so you are talking to the right guy).
