Total Defender invitation for subscription

edited October 2024 in Scam Busters

I've got an e-mail yesterday, 13 October, from Sales SoftSecure Pro (email@e.podia.com) which

proposed me to purchase Bitdefender Total Security for 3 years for only $99.99.

It looks for me a fake advertisement.

Do you have any details about such message?

    Hello.

That e-mail is a scam, no doubt about that.

You can receive legit e-mails only from bitdefender@hello.bitdefender.com, as they contain special offers and product recommendations.

Also, you should buy Bitdefender products and/or services only from Bitdefender's global (worldwide) website:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/en-us/

or from Bitdefender's partners, which can be found here:

    https://www.bitdefender.com/en-us/partners/partner-locator?

    Regards.

Also, note that the website https://e.podia.com/ is not valid, from which you received the email.

@d0d0 thanks for reporting this. Definitely not an email from Bitdefender and I strongly advise against responding to that.
