how to Install activation and updates on a remote not connected to internet machine?

Hi to all,
in our laboratory we have some machines that (for security reasons) do not have an internet connection.
Does bitdefender supports offline install, activation and updates, so I can install it on those machines? Do exists an installer version/updates for offline machines?

Hello.

Bitdefender does have the offline (standalone) installer available, but only for Bitdefender Total Security which can be downloaded from the links below:

32 bit:

http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/desktop/connect/cl/2022/all/bitdefender_ts_26_64b.exe

Currently, there are no offline (standalone) installers for the other Bitdefender home products.

Anyway, maybe Bitdefender Consumer Support can provide you with offline (standalone) installer for the latest Bitdefender Total Security build v27 or any other Bitdefender product.

You could also update the Bitdefender's threat definitions offline, by following the steps from this article:

Ok, so the only option to have an offline installer/updater is Total Security version? Does It need an internet connection to activate the license or not? My PCs are offline and not connected to internet for security….

Hello again.

The only option to have an offline installer is Total Security version, unless Consumer Support provides you an offline installer for other Bitdefender product (Antivirus Plus or Internet Security).

But, you can update the threat definitions offline for Bitdefender versions 25, 26, 27 (Antivirus Plus, Internet Security and Total Security):

Finally, an internet connection is needed to activate the license. I don't think that it is possible to activate the license without internet connection.

Maybe @Alexandru_BD who works for Bitdefender can give you some ideas to activate the license without internet connection, if possible.

Hi @simonenodari,

Yes, you need to go online to activate the license. The way it works is that you activate your license / subscription in Bitdefender Central, and the software installed on the device must be linked with that license in order to work. Because the product draws its validity and configuration according to the subscription / license that is running there.

But you can go offline afterwards. The antivirus will still work and the UI will display that you are protected, given that all security modules are active. However, you won't benefit from cloud scanning nor updates.
