autorenewal/regular customer
Why your company don't have automatic 50% discount on autorenewal for your regular customers? only by clicking manually on your site? Really don't understand that. I have to every year buying on your site for discount because on auto renewal i have full price, this is very hurtful.

Hello @Gr0szeK,
The automatic renewal pricing is not linked to ongoing campaigns, discounts and promotions available at the official Bitdefender website or at different points of sale throughout Bitdefender's Partner Network, and for this reason they are trying to offer customers the opportunity to manually renew at favorable prices during the subscription period. In many cases, apart from the discounts available online, early renewal offers are also being sent to customers (though these may obviously vary depending on what products are on sale, country, etc.)
The price at which the auto-renewal is applied can be seen in automatic notifications so that any customer can request either the deactivation of this feature, or a more advantageous offer.
The discounts available on the website are valid for the first year of subscription only, and if the automatic renewal option is kept enabled, the full list price will be applied at the renewal date, excluding the discount which was one-time only in this case.
Bitdefender products and services are not sold directly, but with the help of vendors and partners. 2Checkout (formerly Avangate, now Verifone) is the authorized vendor of products and services sold on the official Bitdefender website. The shopping cart and subscription renewals are managed by this vendor mostly (in some localizations there are other vendors as well) and they do not have an updated list of all ongoing campaigns and discounts that Bitdefender may offer worldwide, so the subscription renewal is applied at the full list price of the product the customer chose (so, for example 50% discount at first purchase, full catalog price at renewal).
Of course, as mentioned earlier, the automatic renewal feature can be disabled anytime, should you find a better deal in the meantime.Regards

Hello
Thank you for your answer, but after so many years you have a database of your users who use your product so wouldn't it be better to make a better offer for regular customers who have been using your products for more than 3 years?
Regular customers would be happy with 50% discount with auto-renewal, and with the protection your are known for, your company would also gain better public relation showing everyone that Bitdefender cares about regular customers. We wouldn't need to remember every year to buy your product on your site (correct on your site nowhere else) with 50% discount because auto-renewal charge with full price…
People are buying your product and will continue to buy, but they have to check your site or others sites every year to buy, wouldn't it be better to make it easier for us regular customers?
(Sorry for any mistakes english is not my native language)
Best Regards

You do have a valid point here. Bitdefender doesn't have such a loyalty program, however, they often provide discounts and launch regular campaigns on various channels, dedicated to both new customers and those loyal to the brand.
The subscription service simplifies customer interaction by focusing on the value of continued service and uninterrupted protection. This business model is widely used for software services, streaming platforms, memberships, and other recurring services. Generally speaking, subscriptions provide a consistent customer touchpoint, allowing businesses to introduce premium features or bundled services. If you look at any other competitor product, their subscription model will be very similar. The first purchase discounts available at various vendors often apply for the first year of subscription, while the renewal is applied at the full list price of the respective product. Some companies may adopt a different business strategy, where the customer pays the full price (or even a premium price) on the first purchase, and will receive a possible discount over time, but I think the main disadvantage here is that this strategy does not really favor the acquisition of new customers. A business needs to expand and attract new customers as well, in order to survive on this competitive market, while of course keeping their existing customers happy. 🙂
If you think of it, even if you pay the full price at first and get a 50% discount for the second year of subscription, it will still be the same thing for a 2-year tenure, for example, just the other way around. So, I guess they prefer to be more up-front with the discount and charge the full list price later on.
I take this opportunity to express my appreciation for your loyalty towards Bitdefender! 👍️

I am glad that someone understood my point of view so that loyal customers can renew your product license without any interference in searches on other sites for discount. You also said that every other competitor has almost the same or similar business model, so maybe it is time to improve. If we want to change for the better and create better products for customers, we cannot be the same as everyone else. Every genius who invented something and did a great job to improve our lifestyle was not the same as other people. If every company is the same, there will be stagnation. So I think your company could consider some loyalty programs for people who have been with you for a few years. Show other companies that you can improve something and reach those really loyal customers. Thank you for your answer.
