Strange behavior of firefox recovery key

Today i downloaded firefox recovery key but when i accessed the download folder there was a strange icon instead of the recovery key, ve a look:

clicking on that file opened the never ending widow below:

    Hello.

    That is not a strange icon, it's WhatsApp's legit icon.

    Just right-click on the file, click on "Open with…" and select the proper program to open the file.

    If it's a .pdf file, select Adobe Acrobat, Foxit Reader or any other program you use to open .pdf files.

    If it's a .txt file, select Notepad.

    but that's not a normal behavior of pdf or text files , such files ask permission to open with a selectable software, why there is a whatsapp icon instead ? i never used whatsapp to open files. why did it auto jumped to whatsapp?
