Pc Runs Very Slugish

Options

Since I installed the BitDefender 2010 Security Suite my PC, sometimes, runs very slugish. The "vsserve.exe" process takes >90% of the CPU capabilities, the BitDefender icon appears gray on the bottom toolbar. I am using Windows XP with all the updates.

I tried double-clicking the grey icon and "Update Now", but nothing happened http://forum.bitdefender.com/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif

I also tried, twice, to run the "BitDefender Support Tool", but it seems to get hung up, and it doesn't finish "Step 2 /3 ", even after 30 mins (?) http://forum.bitdefender.com/style_emotico...fault/angry.gif

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

    2. Locate and open 'sysdump.exe'

    3. A command prompt window will appear on your screen. Please note that the information gathering process can take a several minutes therefore please wait until the window disappear by itself.

    4. The result will be the file called 'SYSDUMP.TAR'
