[resolved]How To Scan Just 1 Drive?

Hey all,

For some days now I have BitDefender Antivirus 2010.

I'm looking for a way to scan just my C:\ drive, nothing else.

Each time I do a quick/full virusscan it starts scanning everything, which takes 5+ hours..

I haven't yet found a way to adjust this in the settings, I was hoping someone could help me here.

Thanks!!

V.

  • Hello vsdagama,

There are multiple ways to scan just one location:

    1. create a new scan task (from Antivirus -> Virus scan). Select it's scanning settings, and then select the scanning locations from the Locations tab. Save the task, then execute it
    2. simply right click on the file/folder/partition you want to scan and select Scan with BitDefender
    3. drag and drop the file/folder/partition onto the BitDefender Scan Activity Bar (in case you have it enabled)
Alternatives 2 and 3 use the scanning settings from the Contextual scan task. You can edit them by double clicking that task and changing the settings.
