Bitdefender 2010 Total Security Not Updating

Hello,

As I try to update Bitdefendero 2010 Total Security, the updater shows progress while downloading the update, be it 8000+ kbs, or 126kbs. After a good 20 minutes of trying to download, the updater suddenly re-starts the download. After a few attempts, it stops with a red exclamation sign, but no error report or anything of the sort.

I have the same problem with 2010 total security with updates. when I go to the controlpanel in bitdefender and choose updates. the tabs are all grayed out.

I have tried just about everything i can find from the forum. please help.
