D-link Shareport Utility And Bitdefender Total Security 2010

I have a problem connecting to my USB printer on my D-Link Dir-655 with Bitdefender Total Security 2010. I have to turn off the firewall inorder for the utility to connect to my printer on my LAN.


Can anyone help me fix this problem?

  • As seen in your D-Link SharePort User Manual, on page 41(at least if you're using revision A of the DIR-655):


    Security software such as firewalls, etc. may be interrupting communication between your PC and the router.


    SharePort Utility needs to be added to the exception list of your security software. Please refer to the security software documentation for help on adding an application to your exception list. You may also need to open TCP and UDP port 19540 in your security software.
