I am not very savvy with computers. I just know I've been reading for 4 days on how to fix this and have come up short. I have Symantec antivirus and spybot search and destroy, but somehow managed to get this virus with the kernel error. I have the annual report for the housing authority of my local city saved on my computer and I'm terrified it's going to crash. I've run every detection program suggested, but I can't seem to get rid of this thing. I tried VundoFix, but before it can finish scanning, my computer freezes up. It's starting to run a little slower every time I turn it on. Can someone PLEASE help me, I have no idea what I'm doing! I get the kernel error 1256 at startup then about 20 minutes later it says system is unstable and something about buggy administrator or something like that. Help, I'm freaking out!!
