How Bitdefender Define "disinfection"

Can somebody explain what Bitdefender means "Disinfection"? And what actions can be possible by disinfection?

    Hi,


    If a file is found as infected, the disinfection is done exclusively by the engines. However, the disinfection routine is different for each infection.

    Perhaps this refers to the infection file and polymorphic viruses.

    What routines/actions are possible? As far as I know there are only following actions available


    1) Rename


    2) Unhide


    3) Disinfect/Repair/Heal


    4) Block/Deny


    5) Move to Quarantine/Chest


    6) Delete


    Actually the way you are using "disinfection" term is not clear, it may mislead the users. It needs some better understanding.

    How the disinfection done by Take Proper Action is different from Quarantine because in both there is an option to Recover and Restore respectively?
