Installation Settings Default

Options

Hello.

I had to stop Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 completely, so I turned everything OFF in the settings.

However now I do not know how to set every settings back to normal.

How can I do that?

Is there a listing which have all the installation default settings?

Thanks.

    Hi, Thopaga :)

The easiest way to reset all your settings to the Bitdefender install default settings would be to run a repair: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35489

You could also just turn on what you had turned off, enable Autopilot, and confirm that the Antivirus On-access scanning is set to, Default.

Otherwise, if you want to print this off and go at it one by one, here it is: :)

Bitdefender 2013 Internet Security Default (non-customized) Install Settings.

Upon Bitdefender Install: Autopilot, Auto Game Mode, Firewall Filter, Antimalware Web Filter, Antiphishing Filter, Antifraud Filter, and Search Advisor: ON

    Antispam Filter: OFF

    After Install Completion:

    General Settings:

Password Protection: OFF /Automatic Game mode: ON /Game Mode keyboard shortcut: OFF

Automatic laptop mode, and Security Widget: ON

Advanced: Proxy usage: OFF / Anonymous usage reports: ON

    Antivirus Settings:

On-access scanning: Normal. Active Virus Control (AVC): Normal

Vulnerability settings: All set to ON

    Exclusions:

    For files: OFF

Scan CD/DVD devices; Scan USB devices; Scan mapped network drives, all set to: Autoscan

    Quarantine:

Rescan quarantine after virus def. update: OFF

Submit suspicious quarantine files for further analysis: ON

    Privacy Controls:

Antiphishing: Show Bitdefender Toolbar: OFF, all others are: ON

Chat encryption: Enable Instant Messenger Encryption: ON

    Data Protection: OFF

Delete content older than: 30 days.

    Firewall:

    Alert Intensity, Paranoid mode: OFF

    Advanced:

    Intrusion Detection System (IDS) OFF

Internet connection sharing; Increase log verbosity: OFF /Monitor WI-Fi connections will be on or off, depending on if a notebook or desktop was detected by Bitdefender upon install.

Block port scans: On .... yet see recommended firewall settings here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=35496

    Update:

Default update location is the http//upgr-mmxiii....net/ location, you can hit the Default button to restore the Bitdefender preferred default update server.

    Update processing rules: Silent update

    Postpone reboot: ON

Antispam: (activate, or turn ON from the Antispam Panel)

    Settings:

    Protection level: Normal

Heuristic filter; Link filter; Block emails written in Asian characters: ON

Block emails written in Cyrillic characters: OFF

    Cloud:

    In-the-cloud detection: ON

Submit spam samples to Bitdefender Cloud; Submit legit samples to Bitdefender Cloud: both set to, Ask every time.

    Kind regards,

    Scott
